Alongside studying and completing my Level 3 Childcare in Education and Level 4 leadership & management qualification. I raised my 3 children which led me to BuzzeeBeez Pre-school. I started working here in 2001 and 2012 I became Manager. I enjoy my role as a manager, and I love to still be part of the children’s development and making special bonds.

I believe in making everyone feel accepted and included and we are all full of potential. Together we can all go own to achieve greatness.

All 3 of my children have also attended Buzzee Beez, it was between my first child leaving & my second child was of preschool age when I joined as a volunteer. I love being a mother and working with children and feel honoured to be part of their learning and development.

I love my job as it is so rewarding knowing I make a little difference to the children's early learning and development. Children also make every day different and surprise you each day with something amazing or funny which is why I love working here and love my job

Rebecca Baker

Preschool Practitioner

I began my journey at BuzzeeBeez Pre-school at 2 years old as a Buzzeebee myself. At that time my mum was a preschool worker, she is now the manager. Throughout my childhood and secondary school life, I would often help-out and come into the preschool whenever I could. I really enjoyed helping out and when the opportunity arose, I started as a bank staff only working when I was needed. After I left College in June 2017, I decided to start a childcare career and in September 2017 I began my level 3 childcare apprenticeship, I completed my level 3 in 2019. I have also completed first aid training, safeguarding training and other online courses. I really enjoy my job and I love to help, care and comfort all the children as well as developing good relationships with the parents. I love to work with SEND children and this is where I found my purpose. Being the 'Pied Piper' of the preschool as I am referred to by my colleagues is great and knowing I can make a difference in these children's lives is important for me. This job is very rewarding it has its ups and downs but it's fantastic helping children just to see them smile and have fun.
