Our 3 & 4 Year olds

As children move through their preschool journey, our 3 and 4-year-old provision builds on everything they have already learned, helping them become happy, confident, independent and curious learners.

We provide a balance of child-led play, carefully planned activities and wonderful learning experiences, giving children plenty of opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills and build strong friendships.

Learning & Development

Our experienced team plans from the EYFS, taking into account each child's individual interests, development and next steps.
Throughout their everyday experiences, children are encouraged to develop:

  • Confidence and independence

  • Communication and language

  • Friendships and social skills

  • Early literacy and a love of books

  • Early maths and problem-solving

  • Creativity and imagination

  • Physical skills and coordination

  • Understanding of themselves and the world around them

Our Enhanced EYFS Experiences

Alongside our everyday EYFS provision, children benefit from a range of enhanced learning opportunities.

These include our WellComm speech and language programme, My Smile toothbrushing programme, Nourishing Our Future, TastEd food exploration, cooking, gardening, sustainability projects and many other hands-on experiences.

These opportunities help children develop skills for life while encouraging curiosity, confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Supporting Every Child

Every child develops at their own pace, and our key-person approach helps us get to know each child as an individual.

We regularly observe children's development and work closely with parents to celebrate progress and identify where additional support may be helpful.

Where needed, our team works alongside our SENDCo and other professionals to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

Growing Independence

As children get older, we give them increasing opportunities to do things for themselves and make their own choices.

From pouring their own drinks and preparing snacks to managing their belongings, using the toilet independently, helping with everyday tasks and making decisions about their play, children are supported to develop valuable life skills at a pace that is right for them.

Preparing for School

During your child's final preschool year, we gently build on the skills that will support a happy and confident transition to Reception.
Our focus is not simply on what children can write, count or recognise.
We want them to leave us feeling confident to communicate their needs, make friends, try new things, follow routines, manage their belongings and ask for help when they need it.

Preparing for School

We work closely with families and local schools, sharing appropriate information and providing additional transition support where needed.

Most importantly, we want every child to finish their time at Buzzee Beez feeling proud of how far they have come and excited for their next adventure.
